Should I STAY or Should I GO

Ever wonder if you should stay in your current position, or even stay with your current organization? Think you’re working for a “Really Bad” Boss… Well, let’s find out if you’re RIGHT; and if you Should STAY or GO.

Does your Boss have ONE or SEVERAL of these traits:

  • consistently makes BAD decisions (or at least ones that YOU don’t agree with)
  • is a MICRO MANAGER (I’ll talk more about HOW to SUCCESSFULLY MANAGE your MICRO MANAGING BOSS later…)
  • never supports you or your team/peers
  • is just plain old INCOMPETENT
  • doesn’t even know what the Peter Principle is?
  • let’s just say their TRUE personality is best described as the REAR END of a DONKEY (I think that translates to an “Ass of an Ass”)
  • the list could Go on and on…

If any of these are true for you, then Congratulations, your in the perfect environment to GROW and IMPROVE your Leadership Style. Let me explain how you can benefit and get Leadership Training in the process.

As we discussed earlier, it is all in your ATTITUDE, and how you look at things relating to your JOB.

Try looking at it from this perspective:

  • If your working for a BAD Boss or BAD Company
    1. Bad Bosses Get FIRED = Opportunity For Advancement
    2. Bad Bosses NEED GOOD Employees to make THEM LOOK GOOD = And are usually willing to PAY MORE FOR IT
    3. Bad Bosses Are EXCELLENT MENTORS on what NEVER TO DO = Free Education and Leadership Training at THEIR EXPENSE
    4. Bad Bosses Are Great for Strengthening your Leadership Style = If you can not only SURVIVE but LEARN TO MANAGE a BAD BOSS, you can Work for and MANAGE any Boss especially a Good One
    5. Bad Companies…Well let’s just say there are PROBLEMS, and I mean BIG PROBLEMS EVERYWHERE. Now that is what I call GREAT OPPORTUNITES!!!
  • If your working for a GOOD Boss or GOOD Company (The opportunities are almost the same
    1. GOOD Bosses Get PROMOTED = Opportunity For Advancement
    2. GOOD Bosses WANT GOOD Employees to make THEM LOOK GOOD = And are usually willing to PAY MORE FOR IT
    3. GOOD Bosses Are EXCELLENT MENTORS on what TO DO = Free Education and Leadership Training at THEIR EXPENSE
    4. GOOD Bosses Are Great for Strengthening your Leadership Style = Yes, working for a Good Boss may be more fun or EASIER. But I actually found that for the best possible development, working for BAD BOSSES does MORE for building your Leadership Style than a Good One.
    5. Good Companies… Well let’s just face it, we spend so much time there if it’s a good environment that CAN’T be a bad thing.

See how your Attitude can make your situation not only more positive, but even OPTIMAL. Being the best is a state of mind. THINK and ACT that way and your performance will follow.

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. I Corinthians 9:24 (NIV)

Remember, YOU are DIFFERENT. Always following the CROWD (or in our case other “Leaders”) is not always the best path. Always do the RIGHT THING, IN THE RIGHT WAY, at THE RIGHT TIME, no matter what the Consequences. And you will be successful!

One Response to “Should I STAY or Should I GO”

  1. This is so very true. At the present time I am working for a boss who assigns the responsibility to me. At first I grumbled, then I realized everything I am learning from her is helping me.Now I don’t grumble I learn from this person and I utilize the information. This person has knowledge of data I need for my business, therefore I became humble and learned and in my learning I gain wisdom.
